About :
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts the National Level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) as an entrance exam to select suitable students for admission in management programs. CMAT will be held twice in a year, first in September 2014 and second in February 2015. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2015-16.
Eligibility :
Management (PGDM, MBA and Similar) |
Recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination |
Management (PGCM) |
Recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration |
Management (Executive PGDM) |
Any recognised Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial/ supervisory experience |
Fees :
The test fee is Rs. 1,400/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 700/- for SC/ST/PD (DA) candidates

There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted

Cash Payment - Through challan generated online and Cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India
Mode of Test
CMAT is a computer based test
Date of Test
CMAT (First Test) will be conducted during a 5-day testing window 25th to 29th September, 2014.
CMAT (Second Test) will be conducted in February 2015. Dates are yet to be announced.
Exam Location
The exam will be conducted in 62 cities. Candidates will be given the option to select 3 dates and 3 test cities in the order of preference.
