The state government has promised, in principle, a grant of Rs 75 crore to SNDT Women's University , for infrastructural projects across its three campuses. Vice-chancellor Shashikala Wanjari mentioned it as part of the university's annual report at the 66th convocation ceremony on Friday . The varsity plans to use the funds to set up a centre for learning technology (Rs 5.5 crore), an institute of languages (Rs 11.14 crore) among other projects. Degrees and diplomas were given to nearly 11,500 students.
